STEP BY STEP cut and shave

Learning and replicating the technical-stylistic details of the latest haircut, Shave&Cut trends proposed by Medavita’s artistic team.

Tools used

  • FINE/COARSE BARBER TAPERING COMB

    Fine/coarse barely tooth comb in pure antibacterial and antistatic carbonium alloy. Ideal to cut medium-short hair with extremely accurate sectioning and different shading levels.

  • PINTAIL COMB

    Helps accurately define, divide and separate hair.

  • FLAT BLADE SCISSORS

    Held between the two blades, hair is cleanly cut.

  • HOW TO USE THEM

    Hold the tool with your thumb and ring finger.

  • HAIR SHAPER

    Hair shaper with interchangeable blade and fixed ergonomic handle for greater stability. Light and easy to use, it helps lighten and thin out hair.

  • CUTTING WAHL SUPER TAPER CORDLESS CLIPPER

    Light, cordless clipper for easy handling in the salon. Up to 90 minutes of continuous operation when fully charged. Efficient operation for a consistent cutting performance. The side control lever is used to easily adapt the cutting length from 1 mm to 3.5 mm without having to replace the chrome-plated precision head.

Step by step

  • STEP 1

    Section the inner and outer areas. In the outer area, use the tip of the clippers to define the perimeter 2 cm from the hairline. Use the clippers with the taper lever in the closed position.

  • STEP 2

    Next gradually taper the outer area. Use the thumb lever to increase the taper level. NB: concentrate on the line previously created to eliminate the parting effect.

  • STEP 3

    Continue tapering the crown area, using the shear over comb technique and serrated scissors.

  • STEP 4

    In the inner area, create horizontal sections, perpendicular distribution, horizontal cutting line, CLUB CUTTING technique. Mobile guide line Continue to 3 cm from the front hairline, using the same technique.

  • STEP 5

    Finish up in the fringe area, taking the last cut strand as the reference point. Shifted distribution, horizontal cutting line, CLUB CUTTING technique, fixed guide line. Texturize using the sweet to tear technique.
