STEP BY STEP
The main cutting forms are often created by associating several forms and designing ‘composite forms’. In this case, even layers have been combined with the shear over comb technique.
Tools used
-
FINE/COARSE BARBER TAPERING COMB
Fine/coarse barely tooth comb in pure antibacterial and antistatic carbonium alloy. Ideal to cut medium-short hair with extremely accurate sectioning and different shading levels.
-
PINTAIL COMB
Helps accurately define, divide and separate hair.
-
FLAT BLADE SCISSORS
Held between the two blades, hair is cleanly cut.
-
HOW TO USE THEM
Hold the tool with your thumb and ring finger.
-
HAIR SHAPER
Hair shaper with interchangeable blade and fixed ergonomic handle for greater stability. Light and easy to use, it helps lighten and thin out hair.
-
CUTTING WAHL SUPER TAPER CORDLESS CLIPPER
Light, cordless clipper for easy handling in the salon. Up to 90 minutes of continuous operation when fully charged. Efficient operation for a consistent cutting performance. Step by step
-
STEP 1
Divide the external area from the internal one.
-
STEP 2
Begin in the centre of the nape with the spine of the comb resting on the neck. The lower blade of the scissors is to be kept parallel to the comb at all times.
-
STEP 3
When nearing the occipital bone, start the graduation by angling the comb out.
-
STEP 4
Once the nape area is completed, move to the side, around the ear. Trim around the ear with the tip of the scissors.
-
STEP 5
Shorten the sideburns, tapering outwards when coming close to the crown line.
-
STEP 6
ALTERNATIVE WITH CLIPPERS Begin with the clippers at the centre of the nape. When coming close to the occipital bone, start the graduation by angling the clippers out. Once the nape area is completed, move to the side, around the ear.
-
STEP 7
ALTERNATIVE WITH CLIPPERS Trim around the ears with the tip of the clippers.
-
STEP 8
Proceed to the section close to the crown line and hold the comb and the scissors parallel to the floor. Start the graduation when coming close to the crown line by angling the comb out.
-
STEP 9
Once the external area is completed, proceed to the posterior internal one. Distribute and cut the hair with radial partings while following the round of the head and using the last section that was cut in the external area as the reference point.
-
STEP 10
Continue in the remaining area following the round of the head with vertical partings and using the Point Cutting technique.
-
STEP 11
Using the Deep Point Cutting technique, texturise the internal area by starting at the back and moving forward with horizontal partings until completion.
